Month 7!!!

Jan 14, 2013

In month 7 I had to face Christmas, New Years, My wedding anniversary, the anniversary of the adoption of my boys, selling one house and closing on another house. The month was crazy, and on top of all that I faced being past the wonderful first 6 months after surgery. That sweet time of the weight just falling off had passed. So how did I do this month? I lost 7 lbs!!!! Thats right, I lost 7 lbs in month 7! I am past my doctors goal, and just about 5 lbs from my own goal. I love the way I look. On top of losing 7 lbs, I met with my doc this month. He is over the moon with how I've done. He asked me to model for him, holding a pair of my old pants! I am so honored. I truly am happy and feel like im back to me.

Two Months

Aug 09, 2012

Two months have past and I am going strong. I am down 47.6 lbs counting the 7.8 I lost pre-op. I am so happy. I'm enjoying visiting with people again. I'm social by nature, but had started to avoid people because I was so uncomfortable in my own skin. I am getting used to this new life and I think I'm doing well with sticking with my plan.

Some NSVs from this month:
Getting to a size 16
Beating my son in a foot race
Not hurting when I wake up
Driving my boys and I for 8 hours to go on vacation
Feeling like I look graceful while dancing
Climbing up and going down stairs without using the rail
Cooking healthy meals the whole family enjoys
And hearing from others that I inspire them to get healthier

Month two is a success!

One month

Jul 08, 2012

I am one month post-op and I feel great. I am down 29.2 pounds and already doing things I love to do again. I've started dancing again:)
I am getting used to tracking. As of right now my body really doesn't like ham or beef (except beef jurky). I can eat ground turkey and i'm okay with that for now. I still struggel to get my water in, but I hit it most days. I get in my protein, but my NUT has me on 40- 60 g of protein a day. Most people I see are at 80g. I tend to be in my high 50s. I don't have to drink shakes any more, which is good because I never found one I like.
I feel great. I try to do better each day, and I'm proud of the work I've done. Im not worried about failing because I havea plan and real goals that I know I can reach. I would say this first moth has been a success!
