Sorry to hear about the gall bladder problems, Candy. I hope the low fat diet helps, but I understand your emojis there...with everything else I've cut out, I'm not sure just how I could do low fat as well. Ugh!

It is a pain in the butt thinking about fat too.  I used to only think about protein and fluids.  I am having trouble because some of my go to foods are out for now.  Like nuts and only sm amts of cheeses.

Hello everyone! Nice to see some new peeps on this thread. Beautiful sunny day here. 84 degrees! It's nurse's week so the doctors I work with had out lunch catered today. The medical director was so sweet. She told me she ordered with me in mind by ordering wls friendly food. Usually the get pizza or large trays of pasta. Today we had baked chicken, caprese salad, fresh fruit. There were some things I couldn't eat (nor do I want to ) like cake, cookies, etc, but it was so nice to have choices for me! Wasn't that just the awesomest? People have really surprised me post op. Most are very understanding and kind. Supportive, too. I really didn't expect that but I am so happy. Again, grateful for this thread and the people on it. Have a great evening!

Hi Kim! That was so thoughtful of the medical director to order food with you in mind! And the good news is, whatever is good for us is good for everyone else, too. Isn't it funny how our tastes have changed, now even thought I occasionally get a craving for a cookie or something sweet, more often than not I can look at that kind of food and be totally uninterested in it. Yay for RNY!

Ah, I see you like the Nature Sweet tomatoes too. I keep a container of the Cherubs at my computer now, instead of the crackers or other assorted crap I used to have around. Much better to pop a couple of teeny tomatoes than eat something all starchy and carby!

Hope you enjoy your evening too!

HI Pam!  I do LOVE those little cherub tomatoes! Cut them up and put them in my cottage cheese with a few chopped chives, a little salt and pepper. Yum. Yay for RNY is right! Everyone really enjoyed all of the healthy stuff. They ate it all up.
