What's on the menu today, RNYers?

It's quarter to four here, and I haven't been to sleep yet, so I figured I'd start today's thread before I missed out on all the fun!  The husbeast has a super early flight out to DC this morning, so he had to get up at 2AM. Now, mornings and the hubby do not mix well, so the only real way to make sure he got up was to stay up myself and wake him up at 2. Joy.

I'll head to bed once he leaves, which will be any minute. Yep, he's late, no surprise there. Because I know how rough it is for him to be up this early, I made him a full on breakfast: Scrambled eggs, bacon, and fresh made biscuits. The bacon was about all I could stomach, so I had a couple of pieces and will have a shake when I get up in a couple of hours. Everything else is kind of up in the air since I have no brain power to speak of at the moment. But this is the plan I threw together for now:

Good morning Pam and birdiegirl! Nice to meet you birdiegirl. I am Sara! Are you new? We have a lot of fun getting to know each other on here. I look forward to getting to know you. I hope you are sleeping by now Pam and I hope when you awaken you feel like going to the gym. I have had my first round of meds and vitamins, on my first cup of java, and ready for second with water setting on ready. Then I plan on going walking my 4 miles. LOL! Oh, I decided to take Anny's challenge to stay off scale again. I am staying off until Saturday. I did not weigh this morning just yesterday morning. My husband and I have our 24th Wedding Anniversary on Monday so we have decided to go out to eat. He offered to take me to Chili's or Logan's and I asked to go to Wendy's. LOL! I have been craving Wendy's grilled chicken salad and he wants to try chibata bacon cheeseburger so we are going on a cheap date to Wendy's. LOL! Hey it is what we both want to do so it should not matter what others think, right? If it makes us happy nobody else matters, right? Who knows, my sons might take me out for Mother's Day! I am having a regular Muscle Milk today Anny and Emily. LOL!  I wished I had a Pro Series 40 version. I need to go the Shell Mart to buy some. I hope everyone has a wonderful day. I gotta go get started on my water! Take care and God bless! Count it all joy, Sara

Glad you've taken on my challenge of staying away from the scale again, Sara! I think it's a good exercise and keeps some of this evil tricks our minds play on us at bay. I had to stay away from the scale today because the little one who is staying with me is back to sleep and in my room - so no scale access! Eeeek!

Sara, good for you for staying off the scale again. Baby steps, baby steps! Staying away in little increments at a time, and before you know it, you'll be weighing once a week and feel ok with it.

Have fun in your class tonight. I know new social situations can be anxiety-provoking, just remember to keep breathing and you'll do fine.

Thanks, birdiegirl! For some odd reason my weight loss seems to have gotten extremely slow lately, but maybe it just feels that way because the Century Club is in sight now. Trying to boost up my exercise to get the durned scale moving again.

Good morning UnderConstruction. You'll notice a lot of us post our menus in a different way. The ones above track on MyFitnessPal and copy and paste from that. I use my FitBit Dashboard to track, so I just type things out.

I think all of us will agree that planning our day in the morning, or for me the night before, really helps stay on track and accountable. Hope you'll join us here on the menu post!

Hi undercontruction, good to see you posting here!

The people who post here find that tracking their food is a good way to stay on plan. It's helpful for those times for when the scale stops moving, because we can see that we're staying within our calorie and carb goals, so we don't get freaked out by pauses in weight loss. Also, planning ahead and posting here helps us stay within those goals as well. Added bonus: seeing what other people are eating helps us when we get in a bit of a "food rut", and we can get inspired to try new things that are WLS friendly.

Hope you join in! I find tracking everything in MyFitnessPal online helps tremendously.
