I'm post op now of 5 days. The gas pain is unbearable. I took some gas x, miralax , and milk of magnesium today. I never thought I'd be so happy to pass gas. lol

What's with the drain? its a literal pain on my side.

Now that my whining is ddone.. I'm so happy to be on the losers side now!! :)

Awww I remember the drain hurting the most... skin around incision wanted to heal and that tube irritated the heck out of it but you know icky stuff needs to come out and better out then cause an infection ;)

Speedy healing! Best wishes to you. Having WLS was the best gift I ever gave myself... hope you will soon be saying the same!

Walk as much as you can it helps the gas pass.

Walking will help with the gas. Take your prescribed pain meds if you need them, especially to help you sleep. Hang in there. It will all get better soon!!

Congrats!!

Oh Rachel, hang in there. Once you start dropping weight like crazy, that gas pain will be nothing. Soon it will be a distant memory and joy will take over. Just keep walking and walking and walking.

I am five days out too!  The drain does not hurt, it is just a pain!  I am hoping it comes out tomorrow!

How are you doing on liquids?

Once that drain is out, you'll feel like a whole new person. It was by far the worst part of the post-op process for me.

The drain was my biggest issue post-op...it felt so gross, and it hurt like a mofo!! I still have a small dimple where it was, but it's gotten shallower as I've lost weight.

I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

Oh I feel you boo.  I'm 11 days post op and please trust me it DOES get better. I suffered too. Walking does help a lot.  Welcome to the Losers Bench from one newbie to another

I'm curious, those of you that had a tube, was your surgery open or laparoscopic?

Thanks
