Happy Friday Eve, what's on the menu today, RNYers?

Hello RNY friends! It's been a hot minute since I've done more than lurk here, so here I am. I've been battling some regain for the past year or so (year 5 post surgery) and I guess I use the word battle loosely since I've been *****ing about it but rather complacent about doing anything about it. I feel it in my bones that I'm getting ready to get serious about taking action to combat it. Weighing and tracking worked for the first few years so today, as a small step, back into MyFitnessPal I go. It's amazing how we can stray from what made us successful...

I can't believe I'm up the earliest. I've been having some poor sleep recently. Like, wake up at 4 am for no reason kind of sleep. I take a Benadryl before bed but I can't seem to stay asleep...

QOTD: for those of you more than just a few months out from surgery, what was one thing that was soooo easy after surgery that you felt "I got this!" that is now difficult. For me, I remember back when I could be full from half of a sausage, and how with minimal effort I could lose 3-4 lbs in a week, and now it's a real concerted effort to restrict calories every single day only to lose one pound in a week...

TSS: 5.5 years

b: ice coffee with half and half, 3 oz Boars Head ever roast, 1 oz hatch Chile cheese, mini avocado

l: possibly the same as breakfast!

as: skinny pop white cheddar popcorn

d: skillet chicken thighs with lemon and z'atar, potatoes for Kris

If I need another snack I have baby cucumbers and Greek yogurt/ranch

e: spin. Haven't been in two weeks to spin so I fully expect to die. Plus, it's eleventy billion degrees, as AngryViking would say :)

Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Morning Em & co. Ugh its eleventy billion degrees here too, with humidity to match. It's making me feel queasy. I slept so poorly, too.

Accountability: Great. Ran 3.5 miles in the morning and was on the recumbent bike in the afternoon. I was too hot and bothered to eat exactly what I planned but I made good substitutions and ended the day below calories but with close tot he right macros. I made my "first fat bomb" last night, too, so that I could get closer to the fat goal, but YUCK--it made me feel so gross afterwards.

Haha, does anyone else feel like this lady??

QOTD: Well, everything, I guess... Losing weight was so easy that I was worried I wouldn't be able to stop when I was ready to hit maintenance. Ha. I think that generally, it was easy to be obsessed with everything to do with surgery in the first year because it was so physical after having the surgery. It was all I read about or thought about. But after a few years, life moved on and it got put in the back corner of my brain. These last few week have been great because coming back every day and researching Keto make me remember that being a little "obsessed" is helpful. I LOST ANOTHER 1/2 LB WHICH PUT ME BACK IN THE 120s! yesss!

Look how close I got to hitting my macros today!!!

Exercise: 20 minutes on the stair climber and 40 minutes on the recumbent bike!

I totally agree - being obsessed helps me too! When I get lax, I just start to ingest too many damn calories.

I am so impressed that you're in the 120s! You are teeny tiny! Way to go with the recent loss. It's amazing what we can do when we put the effort in and weigh, measure, track. It's a great reminder for me :)

I assure you that as a 4'10" woman, I am neither teeny or tiny at 129. I seem to be carrying my weight in my thighs, boobs and around my middle, which is not where I carried weight, pre-op... its weird. I am wearing mostly size M. Thank god I'm not working this summer, because none of my professional clothes from last summer fit at all. I have a long way to go.

Body dysmorphia my friend! You are definitely teeny and tiny. I am only 6 inches taller than you and QUITE A FEW more lbs! You are small, it's a fact. But, that being said, I know how it feels to have no clothes that fit. It's very demoralizing. I know we all feel healthy at a different size, and I support you losing whatever you feel you should, but I assure you, you're a small person!

Thank you for sharing your plan with me. I am watching you menu so I can 'catch on' a bit better. I have looked at recipes for fat bombs and thought they looked gross.

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

For my fat bomb, I mixed up a tbsp of almond butter and a tbsp of a low carb, sugar free version of Nutella that I got in a Keto crate. Tasted yummy but about 15 minutes later I wanted to puke.

Exactly - once that fat bomb is in your stomach is churns! I have to be careful what fat and how much I use.

Sugar free Nutella? Is that even possible?

I used to eat a Costco jar of Nutella in a matter of days. Please share this SF Nutella. Is it really Nutella? I could die and feel in heaven if it's really SF nutella.
