Water intake and weight loss

Hello all, I am trying to figure out why I am not losing weight, I have it narrowed down to possibly, thyroid out of whack again, hormones, or my water intake.

Daily I struggle with how much fluids I am drinking. I am lucky if I get 30-40oz in. Can this make my loss slow?

Yes the fat we lose is washed out of our body with the fluids we release (pee).  Fluid intake is a very big part of being successfull.   Keep working on getting in your fluids.   S/f popsicles,  your shakes,  all these count towards your fluids.   Good luck  :o) jeani

Thanks Genie
I am not drinking any shakes because they make me sick now since I had to drink them for so long
I am doing the water and popsicles but it seems like there is just not enough time in the day.

Just keep working on it and you'll get there.   Try maybe some tea, broth counts too.   64 lbs is nothing to sneeze at,  you are doing great.   Try not to stress about it,  that is a nono and it won't help so don't waste time on it.   You are doing really well for so soon out :o) Jeani

the bulk of that weight loss was preop... I was 226 day of surgery and 194 now. I have seen other people who have lost 50+ lbs that had surgery around the same time as me.

Kelli, try not to compare yourself to others... I was sleeved a couple weeks after you and i've only lost 30-31 pounds. I keep stalling! Good luck and hope that scale starts moving again soon!

I had SEVERAL stalls, I know it's frustrating. looking back, the cause I think (beside my body going crazy with all this) is that I was snacking in between meals. keeping to 800 cals max but snacking on cheese. when I stopped doing that frequently, the scale moved.

I know it's crazy to think you won't lose if you stay under 800 cals, but it was a reality for me. I lose faster if I eat a bit less than that :(
