Ugg I feel like I am doing terrible.... I got the all clear last week to eat soft foods and I was so hungry I'm eating more than I should. I have no problems eating. I does not hurt and it goes down good. I am going on 4 weeks and I have only lost 15 lbs... Do you think my stomach is growing so soon? Is that possible? Will I still loose?

I'm not sure, but think about it like this 15lbs in 17 days is darn good.  That's almost a pound a day.  You've lost the size of a one year only in 17 days.  Don't be so hard on yourself, sounds like to me you are eating all the right things.

For breakfast I drink an Atkins protein shake. Lunch today I had a 1/2 can of Healthy Choice bean soup, I had a fruit cup, 1/2 sugar free snow cone, and for dinner I ate some chicken and rice a roni (my husband cooked and thought I could eat it, felt obligated). After I ate it, I wanted more!!!! that's what's making me sad. Why can I eat so easily? It's not hard at all.

Carbs make you crave carbs. My plan is 70 grm protein,
600 cal( at your stage) & 70 oz water per/ day. I do not eat rice, pasta, bread or sugar. You can add some things after
you reach goal. Also I don't eat any processed foods,
or boxed foods - the only way to control your sugar &
salt is to cook it from fresh. Hope this helps.

I'm with Elaine.  Cut out ALL sugar, processed foods, and starches.  It will fall off if you do that :)  My plan said 80 g. protein, 400-600 cal., and 80 oz. water.  Good luck!

Way too many sliders (soup, fruit cup, snow cone, rice a roni), carbs (fruit cup, rice a roni) and not nearly enough protein.

Seems like some pretty heavy duty eating for 4 weeks out too.

Remember....dense protein first.  Then you have room for a vegetable go for it.  No rice a roni.  No fruit.  Soup is a liquid and will go right through you bringing the beans with it.

EDIT:  I just saw you were cleared for soft foods this week?  You definitely should not be eating chicken at this point (unless it is well blended chicken salad type stuff).

Soft foods (at least on my plan) includes things like egg/chicken/tuna/crab salad, greek yogurt, pureed soups,  etc.  No fruit, no starches.

Sharon, i would say your doing really good. remember you cant compare your weight loss to everyone else's. Don't worry it's normal to think that your doing something wrong , even i did it right after surgery. Your body is still adjusting and you will lose but at your own pace. Good Luck, oh another thing is that when i notice im losing slow even at one year out , im losing inches. I can always tell when my body takes a break from the numbers dropping on the scale and in return i lose inches instead.

Geez, looks like I'm eating all the wrong things! It's so early in the game! I need to educate myself some more! My dr didn't really give me a detailed diet, just said soft protiens and non starchy veggies!
