I'm hoping its something that would be a great option for when I'm on the road....sans muffin, that is. Has anyone had it? I'm in weight loss mode....so it would have to be really low calorically.

I tried it this morning.  I am also in weight loss mode.  I was only able to  eat just under half of it, but logged it as half.  It came in at 125 calories, 9 grams of protein.    That was with part of the muffin.  It was a nice change from my protein shake, but the shake holds me longer.

Here are stats with the english muffin that I found in a press release. You can subtract the nutritional info for a whole wheat muffin and there you have it

The new Egg White Delight McMuffin will be available Wednesday. Coming in at 50 calories less than the traditional Egg McMuffin, it's served on a whole grain English muffin with white cheddar cheese and lean Canadian bacon. The new sandwich is 250 calories, with 18 grams of protein and 8 grams of whole grain. The classic McMuffin has 12 grams of fat; the new one has 7 grams.

I had one this weekend when on the road. I didn't eat the muffin, which reduces the calories by about 100. It was okay, but I consider it Emergency food. It did the trick, but it was neither high quality food nor great tasting. Not something I would recommend, but it does work in a pinch.

I wonder what the sodium content is?

I saw the billboard & it caught my attention but problem for me is that the protein in it wouldn't be enough to satisfy me for a meal so I'd have to eat part of the muffin.  Little sandwiches like that don't keep me full for long & I'd end up wanting more.  I think it would be a great option sans muffin for those post-ops earlier out who can get full on the protein without the muffin.

um EggMcMuffin sans muffin is a good option for you now. When you as a VSG patient eat an egg, you should be eating the whole egg, especially if you are a woman. The fats from the yolk part are very good for us, plus its 3 extra grams of protein per egg. Don't skimp. The fats from the yolk are good for us, they actually support fat loss if you can believe it. Plus if you are a woman fats help to balance hormones. The key ingredient to your success will to be always sans muffin and then someday sans muffin top!
