So excited...

My gastroenterologist said she approved of the sleeve and would get that surgery if she needed WLS. She did say something strange though. She said my doctor should have requested an endoscopy to be sure my anatomy would work with the sleeve . My doctor does not have this on his list of recommendations.

Now I just need to get approved!

Yeah Donna!  Glad to hear the GI said it was the surgery for you.  I didn't have an endoscopy to be sure my anatomy would work with the sleeve.  I did get one to find the damage the band was causing.

My Dr did an endoscopy and a liver biopsy while in surgery. He didn't say anything about it until I went back for my 1 week post op appt. and said everything looked great.
