Great.

All kidding aside, your fear is normal, I think we all had it at some point prior to surgery. If you follow your doctor's plan you will most likely be successful. If you try to improvise and only kinda follow the plan you will most likely not be successful.

The best thing to do to minimize complications is to follow the pre-op diet to the letter. Not kinda sorta, not to the best of your ability, to the letter. The pre-op diet is not about losing weight its about shrinking your liver which makes it easier for the doctor to do the surgery the best way they possibly can.

All normal. Just remember any WLS is just a tool, its really all up to you.

When is your surgery?

Mine is Monday.  I found out on Friday that I was approved, was so excited then I woke up Saturday and was SCARED!!!  I stayed nervous and scared until mid-day today.  I keep telling myself I can't do it without help and the sleeve WILL be the help/tool I need and have been looking for.

Relax and think about how you got to this point, it may help you also.

i just had my surgery yesterday and up the point of them wheeling me to the OR I was wondering WTH am i doing.  But now I'm glad I didn't back out.

Mainly its important to have  a great support system while you are in the hospital.  My husband was with me and I could not have made it without him.  Just getting up and going to the bathroom, because of the IV. YOu can do this.  Good Luck!

Follow your plan exactly to avoid complications and try to relax. I found that keeping myself distracted all the way up until surgery was effective.
