Why Is My Scale Moving. ...Up?

I track what I eat. I get my protein in almost every day (about 90 grams). My calories are around 700 each day (600 made me woozy). My carbs are less than 40. I exercise 5 times a week (walking / running). I don't have a cycle so I don't see TOM as the problem. But I have gained 2 pounds this week!

My MFP name is losingitvsg if anyone wants to friend me and look at my food diary.

I'm so frustrated!

You're apparently holding onto water weight.  Are you drinking enough?  There's no way you're gaining fat, so don't even worry about that.  Hang in there.  Your body will correct itself and that weight will come back off again.

I'm drinking at least 64 ounces a day.  I try to hit 80 - 100, but it depends on the day. I hope it's jus****er weight!

Just keep doing what your doing.......

Stay consistent...... don't be swayed by the wig wag method...... consistency will win in the long run.....

Your doing great !

Yup!!! Last time we talked abt consistency was 7 lbs ago. And I never thought anything would move. Its exactly what we should be doing. Staying true and on course even when it gets painfully slow. I am in the last 20 lbs exactly.

Thanks!  Rationally speaking, I know that I can't gain weight only eating 700 calories a day, but the first thing I do each day is hop on the scale looking for validation of the work I had done the day before.

Thank you for the encouragement.  I just have to remember to breathe!

"validation of the work i had done the day before"  Boy isn't that a good way to put it.  Spot on.  I do the same thing, for the same reason.

Most likely it is jus****er weight. You could ask your doctor about taking a diuretic like lasik or something. I take lasik every day for my lymphedema & it helps me out a lot. Maybe it can do the same for you? Don't panic or stress about it because stress can slow down your metabolism.

Best Wishes,
Hilary

Thank you!  If this keeps happening, I will definitely look into something like that.  Hopefully, I'll see a big drop in a day or two and I'll be able to stop whining!  LOL

Have a great day!
