Stalled Question
I'm only 3wks and 2 days post op but I'm curious OH fam how long did your first stall last? I'm not looking for what are you doing? Are you getting in exercise? Are you getting enough protein just some information on how long the first stall was so that I have some idea
I lost 7lbs on my 2wk pre-op and 10lbs from hospital check in to check out and 7 more lbs at my first post-op appt a week later. So that's about a 2wk stall I'm assuming my body is trying to adjust and that I will start to lose again.
Make sure you're getting enough protein and water and the scale will move down again! I'm confident that this is why I didn't stall until month 4 and I broke it quickly. Everyone stalls eventually. You're perfectly normal :)

I only really had the one stall at about 3 weeks out and that one lasted about a week. Then I would lose several pounds really fast and have another little pause, but never another stall that lasted long at all. I found that every month during my time of the month, I would not lose, but the next week I would lose way more. Through my weight loss phase, I averaged a 3 pounds loss each week. I learned to make absolutely sure I was getting in my fluids and protein and that seemed to keep the scale moving in the right direction. I hope this helps. You're right in your thought that your body is trying to adjust and you should start losing again shortly. :)
You are not stalled. You are healing. You will hit your first real stall around 6 weeks post-op. Right now all bets are off as to which way the scale will go. One day you will be retaining water, the next day you will dump it. Your body is adjusting to its new caloric intake and its still working very hard to heal.
The absolute most important thing you can do right now is to make sure you are hitting your protein and water targets. The water will help to heal and flush and the protein is the building blocks of your body so very very important to the healing process.
awesome advice I will definitely do this starting tomorrow. I had began to eat baked fish and pulled back on my protein drinks and i noticed that as i drunk more water the scale moved up so I pulled back on the water a lil and lost the weight I will just try to stick to what I was doing initially post op!
