I like reading about our members, too. It seems that you and I have a whole lot in common. I grew up in south central Mississippi in the Big Black bayou area and of course had a lot of religion in my childhood, but am an atheist myself. I'm also very liberal, and believe that people who need help should get it although of course I hate fraud & waste as much as the next guy... which means I hate corporate welfare. I feel so lucky to be able to get my VSG even if it's a royal pain in my butt right now because I'm just starting out with it.

I've lived here in OK for a little over a year now.  I'm a contract worker and the contract was supposed to last about 6 months, but it drags on.  I'd love to get out of here.  I'm originally from upstate NY and a liberal.  I don't fit.

Hi Jameson.  Thanks for sharing.  One of the reasons I sent you a friend request was due to your quote regarding fish needing bicycles.  I myself am a Pastafarian and a bleeding heart liberal as well.  I don't know how you tolerate the red state mentality of Oklahoma, but please know that you're not alone.  If Oregon doesn't pan out, there's always the land of Fruits and Nuts, i.e., California of which I'm proud to be a native.

As we Pastafarians say, "May you be touched by his Noodly Goodness."

Thank you!  I keep my flying spaghetti monster stickers, pictures, and sketches all over my classroom, right to my American Humanist Association logo picture.  After all he did boil for our sins.  I've even thought about becoming an ordained Pastafarian minister :)

Doesn't the post op diet mean you're a heretic? ;)

Hi, Jameson! Fellow Okie here. Also a liberal misfit. Am a Christian, but am spiritually private (or privately spiritual?) not religious. Got sleeved about a week before you.

huh they do exist :) Nice to meet you.  Religous people in this state are generally very friendly good people,  part of my struggle is still living in my same small hometown that I attended the same church in for 15 years.  People I know or use to know that I really don't speak to have flat out told me "oh you do to believe" and I'm all like the meme's say "da fuq" lol.  And while we're on Oklahoma I would LOOOOOOOVE to have a new Governor.  If you run you have my support :)
