Liquid intake or meal??
If you're asking for drinking purposes, I'd consider it a fluid. (I.e., I wouldn't wait 30 minutes afterward to drink.)
For meal planning purposes, I'd consider it a meal. (I.e., I'd count it as one of my 3-4 meals for the day.)

TOTAL POUNDS LOST- 200 (110 pounds lost before surgery, 90 pounds lost Post Op.diabetes in remission-blood pressure normal-cholesterol and triglyceride levels normal! BMI from 55.6 supermorbidly obese to 23.6 normal!!!!
I count it as part of my fluids. :) If I drink decaf coffee with protein powder in the morning it counts towards my fluid count, but I also consider it breakfast. (I have a very tight sleeve in the morning. Shakes or protein decaf coffee are the way I always start my day). If I drink it later in the day, I consider it a fluid + snack. Of course, all is logged on my MyFitnessPal account.
