I know I can't have it and I'm sure it's some hormonal PMS-related issue. However, this is the first time since surgery that I've actually had a craving. Thanks to you veterans I know what to do but I've gotta tell you, Deer Park Water doesn't taste anything like Crispy Kreme!!!!

lol.... Poor thing. Make you some flavored hot herbal tea and see if that will help. Good luck.

When I have a craving like that,   I just telling myself "That _________ (whatever the food is) is what caused this problem to begin with".

Then suddenly  it just doesn't sound that good any longer

Yes JBright1955, I'm adopting that as my mantra.

I know that feeling and I gave into it over the weekend and I regret it completely. So I am making me some sf/ff pudding instead

cajunlady1958 I'm thinking that because I didn't give in AT ALL at the 3 cookouts that I went to this weekend that I'm now having these cravings.

Last Wednesday, on the way home from a very challenging week with my parents, I convinced myself that I wanted, needed, and deserved fast food French fries. So I stopped in a drive thru and got some. I ate ten and realized I'd made a horrible mistake. They hit my gut like a brick of disgustingness. I tossed the rest.

I'm glad I did this because a) the craving would have driven me crazy, b) I learned an important lesson, and c) I'll never do this again since it was so extremely unrewarding. In fact it was more like a punishment than a reward.

GwenMo I know you're right. I think my taste buds are having a bit of nostalgia but I definitely don't want the scale to have those same nostalgic feelings.

Thankfully my scale showed no evidence of my lesson. :)  (And I certainly don't regret it.  Like I said, it was a valuable lesson.)
