Leak Test
It is a fast xray where you dring some barium and they watch it go through your stomach to make sure that you have no leaks at the staple lline. It is fast and painless, although the stuff you have to drink is kind of chalky. I would think that everyone that is sleeved goes through this. it is the only way to check for leaks.
I had mine when I did my first follow up appointment and had my staples removed.
I also had mine done the morning after .... it is painless however the stuff tastes sooooo gross and they want you to drink more then I could handle... ughhhhh but it's quick and done and very much needed.... best of luck to you... and I agree this place is amazing for questions ... I don't know what I'd have done without it!!! :-)

I had mine the day after surgery. I stood on a platform while the x-ray machine was centered around me. The contrast that I drank wasn't awful, and it was fascinating to watch the liquid go down my throat and through my stomach (the technicians replayed it for me).
It's not painful and it's almost always done with a VSG to insure that there are no leaks.
