Hey

so I came home yesterday from the hospital I did fine last night had a protein shake and 16 ounces water before bed

This morning I figured I'd start with shake since it might be easier to get my water I later shake went down fine

I had to take some acid med as I was feeling nauseas this morning I woke up soaked In sweat

I just drank maybe an ounce or crystal light and it immediately made me feel sick and I had to run to sink and there it up

I did feel it was sweet but why did it come back up like that I took the 1 ounce in 5 min so I didn't gulp it

anyone else have this happen?? Should I call my doctor

I recommend calling your doctor and asking for something for nausea.  It's super common to experience post-op and lots of us take zofran or similar in the days immediately following surgery.  Try to work on sipping today and getting hydrated.

I agree, probably wise to call the Doc. They will probably give you something for nausea. It is pretty common after surgery. Sending you well wishes that is passes quickly. Just remember the 1st few weeks of adjustment are temporary - it will get better :)

Have you tried drinking other things like G2 or Poweraid Zero? I had a horrible time with plain water and sometimes the Crystal Light was too sweet.  Just a thought. I like getting the 32oz. bottle (it's a little big for an early post-oper), but I know if I drink 2 I've already got 64oz of liquid in without having to calculate in my protein shakes. The G2 has like 30 cal for 12 oz, but Poweraid Zero has no calories.

Hi there! I was sleeved on the 20th, and the day after surgery, I had the same reaction with some ice cold SF cranberry juice. Granted, cranberry juice is kind of acidic, but with any liquid that has been really cold, it hits me weird and I get sick..

Just a thought :)
