Pot luck today at work!
We have so much food here today it is insane. The amount of junk food that I've passed up today is amazing! A year ago, I would have tasted everything at least twice. lol No more, those days are over!
I looked in the mirror today and thought to myself, you look to damn good to put this crap in your body! Have a happy Thanksgiving everyone. This will be my first since surgery and I'm ready for it! Bring it on!
Yes, Pot lucks are EVIL! LOL We had one at work for Halloween. I did partake, but chose healthy stuff and logged it. Stayed on plan. Would you believe there's still Halloween candy in bowls around the office?
Today they brought in a bunch of fresh baked pies for Thanksgiving (would have been tomorrow, but snow is on the way).
Enough all ready !! I'll be so glad when the holidays are over....
Good on you for staying strong!
Great attitude. You can do it!

We had our Thanksgiving pot luck last week. I definitely stayed strong. I made some mushroom bites (recipe from eggface site) They were a hit. I ate two of them and made a turkey wrap. the office knows about my surgery but still laughed at my desert plate. There were two 8 foot tables with food and deserts. I joined my teammates and nibbled at my bites was not able to eat my turkey wrap. I made 24 of them and they all went within the first round of food. Now I have to be strong during Thanksgiving and our Christmas party. Why did I select this time to have my surgery :-). This Saturday I will be on real food.
good for you. office food rituals can be so deadly. holiday cookies, baked stuff, donuts and on and on. On my blog page is a recipe for cinnamon almonds made with brown sugar splenda. i find them helpful to get me through the holidays and to take when I have to bring something to some event. . diane
