As a newbie, I thank you for giving us encouragement and inspiring us to keep pushing forward.  I am looking forward to doing all the things I have put on hold because of my weight!!  I'm ready.  Please keep your post coming as well...they are very encouraging and we learn from veterans like yourself that are willing to share their stories.  Thanks again!!

This is the most important and relevant post I have read in a long long time !!!!

It is no surprise it comes from you !!!

This process is so focused on the WL part and the big picture is often not comprehendible.

To the noobs...... don't listen to the people on this forum that think they have a handle on this, but can't lose the weight. Only learn from them on what NOT to do !!!

Go to school on people like Carol here that has a grasp on the big picture, if you want what she has..... do as she has !!!!

Awesome post Carol!  Thanks for keepin' it real. What you've accomplished has taken a lot of thought and effort and you're reaping the rewards of that. And as you've said so well, while it doesn't change everything, this level is success does make lots of things become more manageable.

Thank you for sharing your experiences and your heart with us. I'll be starting maintenence soon and only hope I can be as successful as you have been. 



5' 4" tall, HW: 242, SW:215.4 Weight Loss - pre-op: - 26.6, M1: -15.4, M2: -16, M3: -11.4, M4: -11.2, M5: -12.2, M6: -7.4, M7: -7.8, M8: -2.0 Goal of 130 lbs. reached at 8 months, 2 days post-op!
