Hi Cappy

Quick question. Did you have an exercise regiment to help you lose weight? If so, what was it? Thanks!

I was never one to exercise pre-surgery, but when I decided to remove over half my tummy, I decided that I was going to be compliant with whatever my program asked.  So I found that the recumbent bike worked for me.  It didn't hurt my back or knees, and I started slow.

I decided I needed to exercise every day, even if just for a few minutes.  I knew that if I gave myself an out, I'd take it more and more.  So every day was the commitment.  For the majority of the weight loss phase, I'd exercise between 8 and 20 minutes a day

Best of luck,

Carol

The recumbent bike has been great for me, too. If I'm going to sit on my ass watching TV for a couple of hours, at least I can pedal the bike while I watch.

Great post. It's great that you keep it real for the newbies. You're right maintenance takes work and having a plan. Oh, had I truly understood that part of the journey....

I'll be taking a page from your book in a couple of months when I'm firmly back at goal weight!
