It will be a pureed Thanksgiving, this year. Ideas?

What did you guys do for Thanksgiving when you were on purees?  I would love to try to make recipes that are the proper texture, if possible, rather than running everything through a blender, although that is my Plan B.

Thanks!!

Honestly?  I'd just puree up some turkey with gravy.  You'll be able to eat such a small amount that cooking anything just for yourself will be a bit pointless.

Sweet potatoes blended with a bit of chicken broth, a small dollop of orange juice concentrate and  a tiny dash of port makes a really lovely soup. I have served that as a course for thanksgiving dinner to all of my guests, but with a bullet or blender, you could make yourself a small portion.

Cream of turkey soup; some meat, gravy, broth and maybe a little bit of the mashed potatoes to enrich it a bit makes a nice soup too.

Pumpkin pie is pretty soft. Chew it well before you swallow and leave off the crust.

There you go, a tiny three course meal ; -)

And keep in mind it is NOT forever. It's just for 'now'.

Last year for thanksgiving and christmas I didn't eat too much  and I was 6 months out. Honesty by the time I got my little portion of meat down I was beyond full and looking at all the food just made me sick. I agree with the others, ground up some meat and add a little gravy to it.  This year I will have all of my wisdom teeth out right before thanksgiving. So I will probably do puree as well. The funny part is I purposely schedule this surgery the day before so I wouldn't eat anything at thanksgiving. I've put on a few pounds, and I'm back to losing them, but I have an appointment with my surgeon soon. I rather lose the weight than eat any holiday food. Nothing taste better than weight loss.
