So down!

One month out and only lost 8 pounds! I'm reading about 20 & 30 pounds loss in one month.  I'm following Dr. Orders. And he said it was OK but I'm really disappointed.

Can you give us an idea of what a typical eating day looks like? Do you track, weigh, and measure everything? Remember, we all lose at different paces and most people stall out around the 3 week mark. Hang in there- if you follow the program it will work!

B. Protein shake

L. tuna about 2 - 3 oz

D. Soup 2-3 oz

S. 1/2 low fat cheese stick or protein shake

Other days I might have 2-3 oz of chills for lunch or dinner.

Try to get 64 oz of water.

Your food intake looks about right, so that would indicate the normal stall period. For some of us that stall might last a bit longer than others. I would encourage you to measure, as many times when the scale doesn't cooperate you lose inches instead. Hang in there, and if you work the program it will work for you!

happyteacher is right. If you follow the program you will loose. It's not a competition with anyone else, so don't make comparisons, everyone's body is different. Remember it took years to gain this weight so give it some time to go away! Glad your Dr is supportive. I have read of Drs being upset if you did not lose the expected amount. Hang in there it will happen.

I thought I was doing awful too but I had my 1 month follow up with my doctor and I was down 11 pounds. My doctor said 2 or 3 pounds a week is average. So not to worry, we are both doing fine. You can't compare yourself to others.
