Merry Christmas to me--got my surgery date

I am pre-opping right now for surgery December 21st.  Can't wait to be on the losers bench.  I am not completely enjoying the new resticted menu, but have made scallops and chicken for my one meal a day that have been good.  I am not spacing out breakfast shake and lunch shake enough - but will change that tomoro.  Good thing you have to learn how prepared and deliberate you have to be about food before the surgery.  I am going to be searching for a lifetime of recipes to keep th weight off. I will also be researching Netflix for shows to binge watch while I recover-with a plan to get up and move often of course. :)

Hi, I can so relate to how your feeling. I'm being sleeved the same week as you. I started my preop diet and it is more difficult than I thought. But it will all be worth it. It also has helped me realize how much food I have been consuming prior to starting preop.

Hi Patty congratulations on your surgery date! Mine is 4 days before yours but my girlfriend from work is having hers the same day as you. It's very exciting that you are taking this step to change your life! The liquid diet does suck but it is ultimately worth it and you will get through it! Keep us posted on your progress.

Scallops are such a great protein option. Congratulations on having your date and best of luck for the quickest of all quick recoveries.
