Full Liquids

I can have full liquids as of today. It says I can add low fat cream soups to my diet. My question is, should I strain the little pieces of mushroom, broccoli etc? I've felt absolutely starved to death today also. I've had my GERD meds and lots of water so I wonder if it's head hunger?

Full liquids is nothing that can't go through a straw.

You might need an adjustment on your PPI -- many have to try a few different kinds, and different dosages -- but it's probably just head hunger.

Yup. Watch the ingredients too. I've seen a couple of soups that had a ton of sugar.

I was advised to not use a straw. You injest too much air with a straw.

Yep, what Grim said. Also, if you find something a little too thick you could always loosen it up or reconstitute it with some skim milk.

While not very high in protein, I did find a nice, smooth tomato soup at the grocery store by Pacific brand. It's an organic, ready to eat soup that comes in a sort of half gallon carton similar to milk but it'll be in the soup aisle. They come in all different flavors too. If you absolutely can't stand anymore protein shakes or broth for the day, this is a low calorie healthy flavor you might enjoy.

I get the Pacific Organic Creamy Tomato too, and it's so lovely. I actually chuck some Unjury Unflavored Protein powder in it and the flavor's barely discernible. Makes for some ridiculously good protein punch :)
