Today is one year & I've lost close to 115 lbs. Not quite at my goal, about 7 lbs to get to a "normal bmi," but for the first time in my life, I know it's attainable. It's been a lot of work but the rewards are phenomenal! I've been fortunate to have the support of my family, friends & the OH community. THANK YOU ALL and no Alyssa, you still can't bring potato chips into the house. They are evil!

Holy Jumpin Jelly Beans!!!! You don't even look like the same person. You radiate happiness in your present photo. Congratulations on your weight loss! I hope you are extremely proud of what you have been able to accomplish.

I am impressed by your transformation. I hope you will share some of your strategies with the newbies here. You are definitely one to follow!

Wow! Thank you. You are one of the persons who have inspired me.

For the Newbies (never thought I'd be giving advise) Take full advantage of your first 6 months & follow your surgeon's or nutrtionist's plans as best you can. Nobody is perfect & don't beat yourself up if you have a bad day. I find I do best when I plan my day ahead of time, using mfp. When I'm home, I always weigh & measure my food and when I'm out, I've learned to pay close attention to my sleeve. Am I perfect, #*ll no, but I try. The pantry still calls to me at night & I do allow myself either a 1/2 cup of goldfish or Kellog's plus protein. Those I can handle and when I can't, I just have to go upstairs away from the kitchen. Learn what foods trigger you & keep them out of the house. My family is on-board & knows they can survive without certain foods that I can't deal with.

For work, bring your lunch. Take the time to make something you will enjoy, or bring leftovers from dinner or on weekends, try prepping for the week. Limit your trips to the break room! There's nothing in there that's worth the extra calories or carbs.

Enjoy what you're eating! Experiment with different foods or recipes and get your family involved in your new lifestyle.

You look awesome...Kairk's right, you don't even look like the same person!! Congratulations on all your hard work. I'm glad to hear that someone else's pantry calls to them!!  Mine does all the time...especially late at night.  I have to go upstairs, too, just to get away from the temptation to graze!!  Thanks for the inspiration!

5'5" 64 year old; HW 219; SW 199; CW 129; GW 145ish (original)...now on to "ideal" (138)...got that...now a few spare (132)...got that one, too! Now for the 120's!! Made them...now for the "dream" weight...125! Well, that one's proving to be a little tougher!
