So I'm officially 2 weeks post op and I'm down about 19 pounds!!! Finally in phase 3- Purée. Made scrambled egg whites for breakfast with a little coconut oil and it was amazing!!! Felt so good to chew something. For lunch and dinner I made a pinto bean purée with garlic, onions, salsa and chicken broth. Another amazing find on Pinterest.

Overall, feeling great. Only incision that still hurts is my belly button one. My 2 year old is nonstop running everywhere so she's keeping me active. Plus, I walk to publix to get my groceries which is about 2 miles there and back.

How is everyone else doing?

That incision is often sore for a long time. My surgeon said that's where they do the most complicated "figure-eight" suture and it's not uncommon for it to hurt for a bit longer than the other spots.

Slahera - I had my VSG on 4/28/16!  Way to go on the 19 lbs lost!  I am at two weeks but still on 'full liquids' I start soft proteins next Thursday.

Energy is back, still get tired but not like the first week.

That's great. I tried puréed turkey and I couldn't get it down very easy. I think it was too dry. I made a mock lasagna I found on Pinterest and added the turkey but I think next time I'll do it without it.

Congrats on your 41 pounds and good luck. Add me as a friend if you haven't.
