Am I eating too much?

I know I can ask my surgeon about this, but my next appt isn't until January 12th... and I've hit that dreaded 3 week "stall" (even though it's not exactly a stall per day.. I've lost two pounds each week the past two weeks)

anywho... I want to know what some of you veterans think about what I eat in a day and if it's too much for being so early out. So far, I don't have any problems getting anything down, very minimal heartburn which kind of determines that I'm full.. but I definitely have no problem getting my food in. Here's what I ate today:

 B: Quest Bar

S: string cheese

L: 1 can of canned chicken mixed with 1 tbsp lite ranch and 1/4 cup of mozz cheese

D: Portobello stuffed mushroom ( stuffed with all mixed: 1/3 fat cream cheese, crumbled sausage, chopped red pepper, minced garlic, egg yolk, salt and pepper)

S: 1 tbsp peanut butter

stats ... protein - 77 grams, 22 net carbs, 796 calories

Keep in mind I had my VSG on December 1st.. not too long ago.. sooo idk if this is normal? I just see a lot of people this early out only be able to "fit" a little tiny amount.. I mean I always make sure to eat no more than 4 oz at a time .. but I can usually fit 4 oz no problem. Thoughts?

Lunch and dinner were 4 oz

I'd cut back a little. It's easier now than later. The lunch does look a little large, with a can of chicken and the 1/4 cup of cheese. Ditch the cheese, have just the chicken.

Water?

It looks like a good chunk of food you eat is more of a slider type of food. Peanut butter,  cheese, cream cheese & Quest bars etc aren't very filling, even though you're eating them as snacks it's easy to eat a lot of it & the calorie count goes up as a result. People tend to concentrate on protein, real protein like dense meat not bars & shakes, but its early for you, so maybe as you get further along you won't have to depend on the bars, etc & your calorie count can eventually go down.

Ok thanks for the advice everyone! I'll try to cut down a little on the cheese and "slider" foods. I just find yummy low carb, high protein meals and I've been cooking a lot lately and it seems like those recipes include cream cheese (which like I said, I use the 1/3 fat cream cheese at least?) nothing is ever more than 4 oz

you can also try substituting Greek yogurt in place of the cream cheese or some of the cream cheese.

I'd be holding off on protein bars so early out. I don't think I started adding them until at least three or four months post-op, and even then, I'd only eat half of one at a time.  They're a lot of calories for not a lot of satisfaction, IMO.

Do you like tuna?  The small cans of flavoured tuna with a couple crackers are my absolutely favourite way to get in solid protein and I find they fill me up like nothing else. Just a thought!

I still can't eat 4 oz at a time. At first I was trying to make creative little portions for my meals but I gave up and just eat meat, meat, and more meat. Sometimes I throw in veggies but usually can't eat them. Solid meat I can only eat about 2 maybe 2-1/2 oz, slider type food about 3 oz.
