For the last year or so, I've been adding a dash of lemon juice to almost everything. I really love the kick it gives the food. It has single-handedly turned me into someone who prefers savoury food to sweet. Has anyone else gone mad for the stuff, or

How We Got the Science of Weight Loss Wrong - with Giles Yeo
Good talk from the Royal Institute. Despite the kinda click-bait-y title, I don't think there's anything controversial in the

I like the texture of chia seed pudding, and find it quite filling for the number of calories. However, the chia seeds have a flavour (slightly spearmint-ish) that doesn't go well with some other flavours. So I'm looking for some suggestions: W

I found the first part of this video interesting for the explanation of all the ways your metabolism fights you when you try to lose weight. The second part about fixing metabolic damage was intriguing, however I'm not about to try either of those tech

With working from home due to COVID-19, I wasn't in a hurry to replace my baggy jeans. But eventually it got to the point where they would slide down and trip me up. Of course, the pandemic has made clothes shopping difficult. Usually the fitting rooms

This video from Dr. Dray presents a very thorough discussion of all issues related to hair growth, including which vitamin and mineral supplements do/might/don't help. I know a few people on this forum have had ongoing issues with hair growth

For the entire month of April, my weight didn't budge. I'm at normal BMI now, so I expect my weight loss to be slower. But still, I would have been very frustrated if not for the fact that the body fat % reported by my scale kept going down. And today

I think I might have COVID-19, but a very mild case. On Friday afternoon I had the dry cough with sudden onset fatigue for no apparent reason. I went to bed early with the heat up high, and had a long sleep. I felt better on Saturday, no longer tired,

Two weeks ago I had a 24 hour BP monitor to see if I still need blood pressure meds. The nurse who fitted me with the monitor commented on my "tiny waist". And indeed, the velcro strap was too big to fit properly.
And yes, the monitor gave good

Have you had any NSVs recently? Sometimes I don't post about mine because they seem trivial or I don't want to brag. But I enjoy hearing about other people's NSVs, and it's fun to share them. So here are mine:

My two cats have three litter boxes. They tend to use one for pee, one for poop, and one for special occasions. I've been having more trouble than usual with constipation lately, so when I saw Professor Paws go into the poop litter box, I actually got

I discovered something interesting the other day. It seems that my stomach has an easier time digesting vegetables if there's a bit of fat/oil included in the dish. Does this happen to you too?
