Today I am 3 years out and absolutely love the VSG. I don't struggle with anything. I just quit eating when I am full. I will fluctuate between 2 to 3 pounds, but never even worry about that.
I didn't lose any for a long time and all of a sudden have started losing again. Probably due to walking more because we are building a house and go out to check on it and walk the dogs.
I always have aimed for a size 12, and am a size 14, but I do realize that when I have this excess skin removed, I will be a 12. I still want to lose 10 more pounds though.
I remember Dr. Barker saying that even out to 3 years you can still lose and it is true. I am so thankful to VSG, and would suggest it to anyone over any other surgery for weight loss. Best wishes to all of you in your journey.
