Dear Liza~~~I've been reading the message board since the beginning of the year. I know that you give pretty awesome advice to people whether you know it or not. So, what would you tell me if I was asking the question instead of you.? Some of it might be~~drink your water, have a small protein snack before you go, choose your food wisely, enjoy the people at the celebration-focus on them and not the food. What else-that you are very special and very brave and you should be proud of yourself for all that you have accomplished. You don't have to deny yourself a taste of anything-I hope you go and have a wonderful time. Lorraine

Lisa, you just remember that you are important. Have a great time at the dinner, but eat very slowly and drink before hand so you won't be tempted to overeat. Just a little will make you feel better, don't deprive yourself, but don't over induldge. I know you can do it, and I will be praying for you. God bless and keep you. Pastor Kay

Dear Liza, Drink your water before eating like you should. Remember how far you have come at work and in your journey to the new YOU. Celebrate! Remember all of us here on AMOS are lurking in the background, cheering you on! Focus on proteins, eat slowly and CHEW! Most of all have fun, shine as the new YOU! PEACE

Liza: You are a constant inspiration to the rest of us and we share your struggles as you help us with ours. Remember...."Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels...." You are strong and you will work through the temptations on Thursday. Have as much faith in yourself as you do the people on this site. God bless.

Hi Everybody!! I come tonight to my extended family for some support. The company I work for is having a catered lunch for us on Valentine's day, to celebrate some goals we've reached. We've all worked hard this last year and have recently found out there will be no pay increases.
Anyhow, my problem tonight is that I'm dreading this event. The last time we had a potluck lunch, around Christmas, I went beserk and way over ate. I never vomitted, but boy did I feel sick. You would think that would make it easier this time, knowing how sick I could make myslef, but I know that I am a food addict and situations like this just have me in a sweat.
If I could afford to do it, I would actually take the day off, but that's just not a possibility. Please post to my surgery page whatever words of encouragement you can give me and I'm going to print it out and take it to work with me that day. Maybe if I have your words with me, I can fight off the demons for that day.
Please pray for my sanity, because I definitely need it on Thursday. Love and peace to everyone on this journey. MUAH!
