"I have only met with Dr. Irgau once, but I thought he was very personable and down-to-earth. He didn't try to talk down to you or use all technical terms when explaining the procedure. He was also very receptive to all of my questions (even though I had a 2-page list!) and answered each one of them directly without sugar coating or beating around the bush about the answers. I really appreciated that. The front desk staff at the office has been nothing but helpful and courteous from the very first time I called there. I still have 2 more visits with specialists and then I'll meet back with Dr. Wynn (his partner) for a pre-surgical consult. As long as there are no denials or complications with my insurance company, it looks like I'm on the way to a healthier (not to mention MUCH SMALLER!!!!!) me! I'll keep updates here as often as I possibly can. ********** 6/1 - Met with Dr. Irgau's partner, Dr. Wynn, on Fri. and I can't say enough about how confident I feel with entrusting my care to them. They are both very straightforward with their information and 'plan of attack' and seem to both be on the same page. I took my same list of questions/concerns, as well as a few that I've added since, and she not only gave the same answers with the same level of assuredness, but did not hesitate or stall. She seemed very knowledgeable and I was equally impressed with her as I was with Dr. Irgau. I can't wait to see what wonders they will do for me on June 10th! *********** 6/2 - Scheduler sent info to BC/BS for approval. Keep your fingers crossed. *********** 6/3 - Scheduler didn't send cardio info. Faxed it myself. Cross your toes now!!!! *********** 6/4 - I am approved!!!!!!"

"I think they were very receptive to my needs considering the type of surgery involved. There were actually a few people that attended to me that had either had the same surgery or were planning to have the same surgery so I guess I was lucky in that aspect. My aunt had surgery on the same date and they were very helpful in scheduling to get us in the same room as well. They could use more beds though as we both had to spend the first 24hrs in the recovery area because there was not enough room on the floor. That actually wasn't that bad though because you get much more attention in the recovery area! : )"
