I will not lie and say this test is no big deal - it sucked. I like my sleep.  I need my sleep.

I felt like pinhead.   Then I felt like someone from The Matrix.

After the tech shut the lights and went into the office she called to do the test where you move your eyes and all that - she told me to close my eyes and count to 10 - so at like 8 I started peeking and she is like - keep your eyes closed please! I ask her how she knew - it was not even like I opened them -just a teeny peek.  She laughed and said my brain waves... so after she is done I am looking at the ceiling in the dark and I just start laughing uncontrollably at the thought of how silly I looked and how people are watching me through my own brain.  Then I was wondering if they could tell if people were having "dirty" dreams or not - I could not stop laughing.

I could not sleep either.  I could hear every little noise that occurred.  I am a stomach/side sleeper and cannot sleep on my back and naturally I was supposed to sleep on my back - it was so crappy!

I got a few hours of sleep -hopefully I will hear from them soon and they will be telling me I do not have sleep apnea - i would rather give 40 vials of blood than do that dumb test again!... while writing this I received the call from the clinic- NO SLEEP APNEA!!! Woot Woot

Ok so I went and booked my sleep study consult appointment early because I keep hearing how that one takes the longest.

Today was my initial consult and I made an appointment for the sleep study - I have it in two days!! There was a cancellation right before the lady in the office called to make my appointment!

I am so siked that I got in so quickly!  If I do have sleep apnea, I go for a second study on September 9 and then the follow up visit on September 25.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for no sleep apnea!

I am moving right along now!

I also booked my psych appointment with Dr. Zimmermans office.  That is going to be on September 15.

I went to the seminar yesterday - I love Dr. Roye! He has a wonderful disposition.  My husband was worried when I told him I did not want the band but RNY.  He attended the seminar with me and felt much more comfortable with the risk factors afterwards.

I will be seeing Dr. Roye next week on August 20 (my 2 yr wedding anniversary!)

OK so I receievd a call from my surgeons nurse... I have an appointment at 1:00 on Monday, August 11th to go to a seminar and will be making my first appointment with the surgeon when the seminar ends...

Finally I am getting the ball rolling!!!

WOO HOO!!

I already contaced my insurance and there are no dieting requirements - I just have to have a medical need and I do so all I have to do is wait for testing and stuff.  I want to be an "after" so bad!

I am hoping I get lucky and can have my surgery within 4-5 months!
