Well, I posted last on Sept. 14th that the dr office had told me that very day that they would be calling me later that week to schedule my all day appt with Dr. Sonnanstine...........its September 25th and they never called me............I broke down & called yesterday to get an updated status and again I was told that they would give me a call later in the afternoon yesterday or this morning bcs she had 2 patients in front of me..............so I waited......& waited.......its almost noon the following day & still no call yet..................all this waiting and putting my life on HOLD is driving me crazy.  Does everyone experience this?  My journey will have started a year this coming December.......and still no surgery date.  I hope it comes soon.  Its been such an uphill battle........doing my 8 months of M.D. visits, frustrating experience with my MD nurse trying to get all of my paperwork together for insurance, insurance denial, reapplying paperwork & letters for insurance appeal, getting approved to only wait another several weeks & still not getting to the point of the all day appt with the surgeon for my surgery date........ I hope the PostOp is less frustrating than the PreOp experience thus far.  I'm hardly leaving the house bcs I'm afraid I will miss the call.........this is so crazy.  Is this normal or should I talk with another surgeon's office?

Today (Sept. 14, 09) I called my Bariatric surgeon's office and spoke with his surgery scheduler.  She informed me that she will be calling me later this week to schedule my chest xrays & swab at my local hospital and to also schedule my all day appt with Dr. Sonnanstine.  At this point, surgery looks like late Oct. or early Nov.............YES!!

Today (August 28th, 09) my insurance (Aetna) FINALLY approved my RNY after first being denied in July.  YES!!
