We are off to Boise today for testing and preop and surgery is tomorrow morning! Liquid diet today-yay! Not...lol oh well. I can't believe how fast time flies! Excited and nervous all at once but happy to look forward to new healthier times. :)

I can not believe it is almost here! I have been smoke free for 2 1/2 weeks and in a week my surgery will be happening! It is so crazy to me how fast time flies! I wanted to do it right away and did not want to wait and now before I knew it here it is coming right up! So...have been having some emotional roller coasters which appear to be normal given all of the things I have going on as well as just normal before surgery. This is all so crazy. I bought some things for my liquid diet and I guess I will get the protein and vitamins at the hospital pharmacy if I can't figure something out before then. I have been sampling stuff and so far the bariatric fusion seem the best for vitamins and the unjury vanilla seems the best tasting powder. We shall see. I don't want to buy a lot though since my taste might be different after surgery. It is all going to be such a change to chew so much and take so much time eating so little but it will happen because I am pretty darn determined! Lol

Surgery scheduled for May 14th!!! Omg I can't explain all of the different emotions! It is overwhelming nervousness and excitement all in one and I worked very hard to get here and I can't believe it's this close!

So after meeting all my prerequisites for the surgery and losing the 14lbs I found out today my surgery has been approved! Looking at surgery in May most likely. Have been on chantix almost a week to quit smoking an it feels as though the cravings are subsiding but the habit is still there. What a journey so far!

Well found out yesterday I am approved in the 1st stage so now working on the things that need to get done so it can be scheduled! Down about 1-2 lbs so I have 12-13 more to go. Waiting to hear back for psych eval and have med eval on the 4th. So excited to be happier and healthier and get rid of all of this weight and these health problems!

Well the insurance company is reviewing the request. Should have an answer by the end of the week! Crossing my fingers...

Went to consult and seminar....now waiting for them to get the approval from insurance that I meet requirements as a candidate for surgery. Very impatiently waiting lol. Dr Valentine was pushing toward the sleeve, but after thought and research I don't think that is my best choice. I think the RNY will be the best for my hernia, GERD, blood pressure, pre-diabetes, and other health problems. I really can't see myself wanting to revise later to something if things don't work out that I thought from the beginning was the best choice. I am eating less than 1200 calories per day and cut out soda trying to kick start losing the 14lbs. 

Super excited to go to my seminar and consultation on Tues! Looking forward to learning a lot more and having everything more planned out and the process rolling.
