My sister was set to have her surgery this morning. I just got a call from her husband and he said they could not do the surgery. Apparently when they got in there her gall bladder was infected really bad, they removed it. The surgeon said that doing the surgery would have been risky as it could spread infection. I Thank God this was caught and removed, but I know how upset she will be. She is in recovery and is probobly thinking the surgery is over, she doesnt even know yet and I feel so bad for her, I know she will be upset. The Dr. said he will reschedule for 4-6 weeks. I think she could use some reassuring words from everyone, as I know this will be tough. Thank you all for your support !!

Patricia, , I am wishing you a safe, complication-free surgery and a quick, smooth recovery. I had my Open RNY on 12/10/01 and have absolutely NO regrets other than not having done it several years sooner. Its, without a doubt, the best thing I could have done for myself. God bless you as you start your new, healthier life.

Hi Sis. I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how much I love you. Tomorrow is your big day! Seems like forever since we started this journey and we have been waiting for our surgery dates for so long! But now mine has come and gone and yours is just a few hours away! God will guide your surgeons hands and you'll do just fine!

Hi Everyone! **First Time Angel Posting** Tomorrows my sisters big day!! I am so excited for her, but know how nervous you can feel the last few hours before surgery! (I had my surgery just over two weeks ago and am doing great!) I know she would love some encouraging words from everyone and to know we will all be thinking of her and that our prayers are with her. I will keep you all updated ! Thanks for your support! God Bless :)

Hi, Trish! It's Jamie here, you're new email buddy! Good luck w/ the surgery tomorrow. I was sorry to read about your husband losing his job recently, but try not to worry, it will all work out! Just concentrate on your healing once the surgery is over! Don't forget, I'm also in the same city as you so let me know if you need anything. Take care. My thoughts & prayers will be w/ you! ;-)

Patricia,As a person that is having WLS six days after you I asked myself what whould I want to hear this close to my surgery. I would want to hear that I am being prayed for and that my decision is the right one. I pray that your recovery will be fast and beyond your hopes. I ask that God watch over you and bring your through safely to the other side. Walk, cough and breathe deep as you being your new life. You are making the right choice to make a new life for yourself. God Bless you.
