I had my surgery on Nov 12, 2014 and is now over 5 months Post Op.  I have lost a total of 89 lbs since surgery and a total of 136 lbs total since starting my journey on 6/20/14.  I feel so good,  I went from 384.3 down to 247.4 lbs.  If i knew about this surgery in my younger years, i would have done this a long time ago.  Thanks for all the surpport. 

I started my journey on 6/20/14.  I saw my PCP and started my journey on a 1500 calorie diet.  My highest weight was 384.3.  Today is Jan 19, 2015 and officially down 100 lbs.  My current weight is 283.5.  I never thought that I would lose 100 lbs again.  This time i plan on keeping it off and will make it to goal. 

I had my 2 month Post Op visit with Dr. Chiasson and everything went very well.  He wanted me to be between 285 and 290.  I weighted in at 290.1.  To me, that is a successful weigh in.  The only thing they want me to change is drinking more water.  I am still having a hard time getting in my water.  I have never been a water person.  The other thing they want me to change is my vitamins.  I have been taking a Flinstones vitamin daily.  Some of the chewables that i have taken are to chalky.  I cannot take them.  Updated stats are as follows:

CW 289.0    47.3 lbs since surgery on 11/12/14 and a total of 95.3 lbs total. 

I have my 2 week Post Op appointment today with my Dr.  My appointment is at 10am.  I feel great.  Dr. advised me that I was down a total of 36 lbs since my liquid diet.  I can start to swim and exercise in about 2 weeks.  I started on Puree foods and vitamins.  I will see the Dr in Jan for my 6 weeks post op.

I am 4 days post op.  I had my VSG surgery on Wednesday 11/12.  I am doing pretty good.  I am trying to get my water in and protein in.  So far so good.

Today was a rough day but went thru it beautifully.  I so wanted to have a piece of chocolate when handing the candy out but i did not have any.  I had my Protein shake with PB2 in it.  Filled me up and made it thru the night.  I hope this gets better.  I have lost a total of 12 lbs since being on my liquid diet. 

I will be seeing my surgeon for a Pre-Op appointment on Oct. 28, 2014.  On this day will also start my liquid diet.  16 days of the Liquid Diet.  I have started to have my food furneral.  Surgery is soon approaching.  Getting more excited.

I called my insurance company today and they advised me that i am now approved for surgery.  I have a tentative date for Nov. 12.  I am so excited.  Three months earlier then originally thought.  Now will be setting up my last appointments to get ready for the surgery. An update on my Surgery.  The surgery is going to be on Nov.12, 2014 @ 7:30 AM @ North West Memorial Hospital in Tucson, AZ.  I will have to be there at 5:30 AM.  I am now officially scheduled.  YAY

I called my Surgeon office yesterday to see if they received the notes from my 3rd Month Pre-Op check up.  She asked me to hold on, she will look into it.  While she was looking into it,  we were chatting a little.  She then advised me that she did received the notes.  She then told me to hold on again and see if she had everything else needed for surgery.  She says yes we do.  i will go ahead and send the insurance company the requested auth for approval.  I was shocked cause she ofiginally told me that i needed six months of a pre diet first.  I just hope it does not come back as a denial cause she made a mistake on the number of months of the pre diet.  I hope she is correct and does not get my hopes up for a possible surgery next month.  Well see in two weeks if i get the approval or not.  Keep you updated. 

My third month check up with my PCP was on Sept. 16, 2014.  My starting weight was 387 lbs.  I lost a total of 41 lbs which had me at a weight of 346.  Third month down and 3 to go.  I was a little dissappointed to hear that my PCP said to me that with the rate that i am losing this weight, I will not need to have surgery.  I advised her that I have done this in the past and gained it all back.  She then told me that i wont let you gain it back.  So well see what happens in the next couple months.
