Where in Detroit do you live? I was born and raised in Rochester Hills and then lived in Ferndale after college. I love DC but I miss Detroit weather and people!!!

Small world! I am in Taylor (near metro-airport), born and raised.  I live just two streets away from my childhood home.  I lived in the Grand Rapids area from 1997-2004 but moved back after a failed relationship.  Our offices used to be downtown in the Ren Cen which was great but we moved to Southfield in February so that has been an adjustment.

Is your family still in the area?

Sadly no :( my parents moved to Charlotte. I don't get back often but I try to visit friends once a year :) it's always the most packed long weekend ever!

I made a big batch of salad out of cucumber, imitation crab, scallions, garlic, lime juice, and ponzu sauce that I will eat throughout the day.

Wow that sounds delectable! I was at the beach this weekend and had lobster and/or crab for every meal. I wish I could just eat seafood but it gets pricy! Enjoy the salad. Sounds like the perfect combination of healthy and delicious!

I need to get some of this Chike stuff.... can I make it taste like a Starbucks White Choc Mocha with two pumps of caramel, non-fat, no whip????? That was the only way that I used to drink coffee.

LOL Joan! It's not exactly the same as your fave drink but I'm telling you, it's delicious 😀😀😀😀

I second Em! It isn't going to be quite like the SB concoction, but it's sooooo good! I've always had a sweet tooth and I seem to have no lost it (my good friend who had RNY totally lost hers post-op and I'm jealous to say the least) and I find this really satisfies. Also, it isn't super coffee tasting, which is a pro for me as I mostly drank coffee pre-op for the jolt of caffeine and the sugar and cream!

I have had zero, zip, nada caffeine since September. With my fatigue these days because of Ferritin issues, I am in serious need of jolts.
