I was saying that for a while, and would have crackers or pasta in the house because I didn't want to deprive them. Time and again i kept slipping back and eating that ****  Then I said **** it, I do the cooking, I do the grocery shopping, I can choose what to have in the house.

It's not to say that they don't have treats, there are some here and some that I like.  But the real trigger foods aren't here anymore.  I also don't make mashed potatoes, or potatoes of any kind for my kids.  I can't control myself and will eat a bunch of potatoes if I make them.  Now they get steamed veggies.  I might overeat them, but extra steamed cauliflower isn't going to delrail me, ya know?

Plus, I want to give my kids good habits for the future.  My 2 year old has a serious sweet tooth and I am struggling to break it for him.  I want sweets to be a special treat, not an everyday occurrence.

My problem, only since AFTER surgery has been sweets.  I can resist the crackers and pasta for the most part.  But like Holiday candy has been a weakness of mine lately.  UGH

We eat very healthy as it is, but I do have crackers etc for the family that I just would feel bad not having for them.

The struggle is real

You know what I bought my kids for holiday candy?  I bought my baby one of those pre-fab Easter baskets with toys in it, it had 4 pieces of candy.  Then I bought my oldest about $4 worth of Easter Candy and told him he better hide that crap.

The baby got some Easter candy during the egg hunt, but only enough to last for a week or so.  I remember growing up and we didn't get candy all the time like the kids do now.  I'm trying to make it special again, instead of common place.  It's so hard to do when everyone else has candy all the time.

We only got the kids a small bunny to eat, BUT other family members got them a ton of stuff.  ugh

My husband also has a sweet tooth and "need" his sweet stuff in the house for when he wants it.

Okay, I have a thing for needing to know answers, and your comment made me google "origin of OMGWTFBBQ"  I've been saying it for like 12 years, I first heard it when I was playing an MMORPG called EverQuest back in 2004.  here is what I found for your reading pleasure:
