Good Morning!

Is it it sad that I drooled a little when you mentioned protein bars?  Haha. I need to get them out of my system for a while.

I'm living in a condo as well-so no garden for me. I did try last year to have a patio garden with some herbs but it ended up being a disaster!  I don't have a green thumb/bone in my body. Lol

Today is my first Saturday off in months!  I'm so excited to laze in bed, then clean my place then go out with friends tonight for some drinks and dancing! (I don't drink, but I will go dancing!!). Most of the guys are married and are going out tonight without their wives which means it will be super hyper just let out of the house fun and they make great wingmen.  ( It is a group of us from work going-no cheating or inappropriate behavior just a fun version of boys gone wild!).

My menu for today is a little up in the air. Here's what I have planned:

Breakfast: Turkey bacon (already eaten)

Snack: light and fit yogurt

Lunch: Tuna with balsamic dressing

Supper: wings when we go out? Not sure. If we are going to eat eat then I'll get steak. But if it's just snacky food then I will get the wings.

I should end my lazy time and start cleaning. My place is a state. If I had an accident and someone had to come in here?  I'd die from embarrassment!  Clutter everywhere!  But it's so nice to stay in bed. Did I mention this was my first weekend off in months?  The struggle is real. Hahaha!

Hope everyone has a great day!

I am glad for my moderate success on Camaw.  The plan wasn't the problem. As usual, it was me. Carbs crept back in as the week progressed. I think I don't truly believe I can do it. But 2 lbs gone is 2lbs gone.

Qotd: I have always loved gardening. Flowers, flowers, flowers! I love fresh flowers in the house. I used to encourage my daughter to love the garden by paying a quarter for every plant she could name. But it never took! : )

already blew breakfast!

L 4oz. Of Trader Joe's cooked chicken breast.

D 4 oz of Italian sausage and a cup of summer squash.

happy Saturday to everyone!

The only kind of gardening I might be able to do is flowers... except for my allergies...

My grandfather had a second career as a flower farmer... down in Stuart, FL... somebody has to grow all those flowers for nurseries and florists...

Good Morning JB and Menu Family!

This afternoon I am going to see "Hidden Figures" movie with a friend of mine and then we are going out to eat.  I'm looking forward to that.

CAMAW was a huge success.  I started the week at 188.0 and ended at 183.0 for a loss of FIVE pounds!  YAY!

QOTD:  I have very bad knees so I can't kneel on the ground to do any gardening, but I may plant tomatoes and strawberries in containers that I can reach easily.  I wish someone would build me some raised gardening beds.  I have a lot of houseplants and love them!

B:  Crepe with peaches and cream cheese

L:  Chili cheese dog

D:  Unsure since we are going out to eat, but I will choose something protein.

S:  Probably some movie popcorn

S:  Roast beef roll-ups with cream cheese

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

You rocked CAMAW! 5 pounds is awesome... but going to play devil's advocate here---- where is the protein at breakfast? Those crepes always sounds amazing, but am I missing something? Is the crepe actually egg? (I do make an egg crepe that is only egg that is why I ask) Protein every meal and snack...

Good morning everyone! This morning I had my end of AMAW/2 months since surgery weigh in and I was down 2.9 lbs since Monday and 17.2 for the month. I had steak for dinner last night for the first time in months and it was super tasty. Yesterday I found a nice package of tri-tip and there are 4 more steaks in the freezer waiting for me. I don't think they'll be waiting long.

QOTD We tried a container garden last year for tomatoes, peppers, and cilantro and it was ok but not really worth the time and effort when there are so many local veggie stands within a 10-20 minute drive. A short drive in any direction and we can buy directly from the local farmers so I doubt the container garden will be revived again this year. One little project we do still have on the go is a pineapple. Again, definitely not going to be worth the time and effort financially but it's a fun project and it gets people talking when they come over!

B - coffee w/ hazelnut creamer (it has returned!!)

L - homemade chili

D - probably another steak

S - 2 turkey bites (I think I'm obsessed with these things)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Turkey pepperoni type thing. Sometimes with meat I find once I've chewed it enough it's kinda gross but these are easy to eat and convenient to take when you go out.
