I'm late to the party, but I really hope the diagnosis is a good one for her!

My first baby was a lab... got her when I was 21yo, and she was with me until after my daughter was born, when I was 34! I cried like a baby for days over that... and even to this day, I get sad...

Then we just recently put down the second lab in my life... she was more of my daughter's dog. She showed up when Blaine was about 5yo. It's so hard to lose them! I cried like a baby again... bot for losing Maggie, and for watching my daughter feel all that pain.

They are worth it though! Each one brings new love

good afternoon JB and gang.  Late again.  The weather has been so freaking awesome this weekend, and I have really been active as well.  Today it got up to at least 60 and the sun was shining.  I went grocery shopping this morning and got so much food and feel like I got great deals and hardly paid any money at all.  Then we had puppy training class, and I learned a valuable lesson.  Do NOT feed the puppy before going to training class.  he wasn't hungry and that meant that he didn't really care about the chicken breast that the trainer was offering him.  We went on a couple of small walls, but honestly this puppy goes half a block and wants to come home.  He's gone farther each day, so I know it's progress, but I really can't wait until I can just walk with him.

Next weekend I am having a craft night at my house.  I have about 12 people coming but I haven't quite decided what I'm going to do. I have paints and canvas, I have yarn and knitting needles and crochet hooks. I have wire wrapping jewelry beads and wire. I think that maybe I'll just set everything out and let people choose what they want to do. I can kinda do it all, so I can help if they want to learn, otherwise it's a do it yourself kinda day.

JBqotd: Surprisingly, I don't think I've actually had a "good" cry since I left my job last summer.  This week I got a little teary eye when it was shark week and I was overwhelmed with work and my hubby travelling, but it wasn't a sobbing "good cry".  I started taking Prozac in September and I feel like I haven't been sad enough to cry since then.  Gotta love chemistry.

I've already eaten everything that I'm having today. here's my plan:

18.5 months since surgery

B: egg salad made with 2 scrambled eggs, mayo on 1 slice of 35 calorie toast. coffee with SF coffeemate

L: left over crack chicken without bacon

D: Taco Salad made with ground turkey, romaine, salsa, shredded cheese and plain greek yogurt made with 1 serving of Santita tortilla chips.

S: Tropical fruit trail mix. 2 glasses of wine (Beringer Chenin Blanc)

totals:

Calories 1082 Protein 64 Carbs 58 Fat 45

I hope everyone had a wonderful evening!

QOTD: Last time I ugly cried was at the movie Hidden Figures. Movies like that one get me every flippin' time! As for wallowing in my own insanity crying... well in counseling a few weeks ago I had a weird realization (long long story) that led to ugly, ugly, ugly crying. It was good and bad, mixed together.

As for today... since I've been getting my steps in at home walking the downstairs, I've noticed how horrible the grout is on the ground floor ROFL. So today I went to town with the Oxi Clean and cleaned a chunk of it... we have a big-ish (2800 sf) house, and most of the downstairs is tile, so it'll take me the same amount of work I did today for probably another week... but I have two weeks before I return to work LOL I am so happy with the results so far!

B - Cup unsweetened almond milk, scoop chocolate unjury

L - 1/4 cup Anderson Pea Soup

S1 - Light and Fit 80 calorie greek yogurt

S2 - cup of water with scoop of Chicken Soup Unjury

D - 2.5 tbsp tuna and 0.5 tbsp of miracle whip light

the crack chicken is super. DH said he loved it so I will be making it again this week.

QOTD: I think I cried last week, it was strange for me- Since the surgery I have NOT been emotional crying person the way I used to be. I think I was stressed out and I cried. Very unusual for me.

Today I had german food (bologna basically with red cabbage) and took my mom.

2 of my cabbage seedings died when I was gone :(

I REALLY want a sous vide- but I don't want another appliance on my counter. So I might suck it up and get the IP attachment instead.
