Good Morning everyone. I am scared to jinx it, but--anyone else think OH has been a lot speedier this week? Hoping it sticks.

Ok, so I never really had a minute to work on my new GERD plan yesterday, but here is the scoop:

1.) No more caffeine. Ever. Amazon will be bringing me my decaf Nespresso pods today, and I am sipping my last caffeinated cuppa now. R.I.P.

2.) She wants me to try 6 - 8 small meals a day.

3.) These meals should range from heaviest to lightest throughout the day, because the stomach does most of its digestion overnight and it can be most efficient with less food.

4.) No raw foods including fruits or veg.

5.) No spices :(

She also gave me a new script but I haven't picked it up yet. I have a meeting with a nutritionist in a few weeks so we'll see if she agrees.

QOTD: What food or drink would you find hardest to give up if you were directed by a doctor? Obviously it's caffeinated coffee for me, but no raw goods and no spices are also top of the list. So the fact that I am doing it should tell you how bad it's been. Pray for Grim, though.

In order to get to this many "meals" I am basically just taking one serving and splitting it across a few hours. But I basically need to eat a few bites of something every other hour which is annoying.

  • protein coffee
  • 1/2 slice of fig & goat cheese flat bread
  • 2 korean chicken dumplings
  • 1/2 slice of fig & goat cheese flat bread
  • 2 korean chicken dumplings
  • a few bites of broccolini & fish
  • 1/2 chocolate Fairlife protein shake

**ah shoot, I forgot we are going out to dinner tonight with Grim's family. That probably changes everything but I have no idea what to change. ugh.

Good morning and happy Tuesday! I haven't really noticed that with the site but I guess I'm one of the few that doesn't notice the issues when they occur. My threshold for irritation from free sites might be lower than everyone else's, I guess. Seems like you have a good plan for the GERD, hope it works and that when it does, it just becomes "how you eat" vs "annoying".

Headed into the office in a few minutes and since it will be a long day of meetings with the drive each way, I'm giving myself an exercise rest day. It's supposed to rain all day which will be good for the yard but driving in the rain is not a core competency here.

Has anyone heard of Just Meats? I placed an order with them and am excited to give it a try. I just am not usually impressed with the food delivery services - Factor, Hungryroot, Blue Plate, Hello Fresh they've all been one and cancelled from me.

QOTD - dairy, I've given up caffeine before and I do drink decaf in the afternoons but dairy is a core food group.

accountability - speaking of dairy, yesterday I had cheesticks (smoked string cheese) for breakfast, half a bag of cheese curds for dinner and a glass of fair life before bed so nothing on my menu plan, except for the coffee with half and half, lol. Will do better today.

menu

coffee with half and half X3

ratio yogurt

rest of the cheese curds, protein bar

dinner will either be tacos or the beef kabobs/rice from the African restaurant.

Have a terrific tuesday everyone!

Just meats sounds awesome! Can't wait to hear your reviews. The smoked string cheese sounds fab, too. I haven't seen that anywhere.

We don't have any lawyers here, but does anyone know of legal precedents for defense attorneys after someone goes caffeine-free? Asking for a friend.

You don't need a defense attorney, you need a body guard!
