Well, I do think that there is a finite amount of weight loss that can be achieved with any of the procedures -- and the rest has to come from each of us. Some of us, especially those with more to lose, have to dig deep. I've seen countless people bottom out when they get within 30 pounds of their chosen goal weight, then start regaining.

Agreed! I learned this message a little too late and have been toying around with my weight for the past three years.

I achieved my original goal weight VERY quickly (less than a year) and then amended my goal weight by another 20 lbs. In the following three years, I drank THOUSANDS of calories in alcohol each week and treated my diet carelessly. My eating and drinking did not catch up with me until recently. I did not gain weight until the past 10 months or so, when I suddenly gained 20 pounds. My 20 extra pounds I was planning on losing quickly became 40.

However, with calorie counting and using my sleeve (my awesome tool) the last month, I have been able to lose over 12 pounds without sweating a drip. (I cannot work out due to an injury) This would have been nearly impossible without my sleeve. Trying to lose 20 pounds without my sleeve =crash dieting, losing 20 pounds in a week, then regaining it all back within a few days of "real" eating. I can't wait to start working out and really watching my sleeve do its magic again!

I've lost 195 pounds, and I'm approaching my goal weight and most of it was easy.  I do stick to my plan for the most part.  I eat only three meals a day.  I eat dense protein first so I get the max from my restriction.  But beyond that discipline, it has been easy most of the way.

I truly disagree with your NUT on this one.  VSG has met my needs.

Carol you are doing so fantastic. Do you mind if I ask how tall you are? I'm 5'4" and at your highest weight now, and waiting on a surgery date. Thanks for sharing your story and always being so encouraging :)

What shall I return to the Lord for all his bounty to me?

I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord,  I will pay my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful ones.
