Hello,

I finally found a WLS practice that takes my insurance, has a comprehensive team and extensive follow-up care to suit me.  Today was the information seminar.  Good stuff.

Hello,

I had my 4 month pre-op supervised weight loss appointment with the PCP on Thursday, 4/9/15.  Since January I have dropped 18 pounds and my BMI has gone from 39 to 37.

Ah Passover, the most carbohydrate filled holiday on the Jewish calender.  I'm not even going to bother tracking my food intake for the next 8 days.  I'll just have to explain why to my PCP when we meet next week.  I'm certain she will understand.

Would anyone be interested in a forum called "positive support" or "safe zone".   It could be by invitation only or a new public forum open only to people who agree to certain terms of respect and kindness.

Here is a list of 36 cheeses that provide the most protein per 100 gram serving. 100 grams is roughly equivalent to 1 cup grated for most cheeses. In general cheeses which are low in fat will provide more protein per serving, however this is not always

My weight isn't keeping me from doing these things now, other things are.  But they are on my list of things to do in 2015 and most likely will be done after WLS instead of before just because of money issues. What exercise do you like to do and why do

I like the taste of them as long as I don't see them.  Isn't that weird?  I can't stand the color of them, it puts me off.  But if I put them in a glass I can't see through with a lid on it and a straw it's all good.

Having struggled with weight, my entire adult life, I can sympathize. I have at times, reached various goals, and at other times, gained weight. I have decided no food is bad, in general, the key is moderation. Brande is so right. Smaller portions, sto

Hello,

I'm finding it impossible to stay within a 1200-1300 calorie daily limit without feeling hungry all the time. Constant hunger is distracting and infuriating. When I up the caloric intake to 1400-1500 I feel better but sometimes it's a st
