I am just getting started on this journey. Had my psychological eval last night and have been cleared for "take-off"! So excited and ready to get this party going! I look forward to the me I feel on the inside to show on the outside.
While I have been researching gastric bypass and lap-band for years, the idea of the gastric sleeve is new to me. However, it is the surgery that my surgeon and I feel is best. I look forward to meeting other successful VSG-ers.
Some of the reasons I chose the VSG over the gastric bypass are as follows: I am a former smoker...quit two weeks ago...Yay!! Apparently there are more dangers associated with smokers with the gastric bypass. Also, I want to lose weight slower to reduce the excess skin effect. if anyone has any insight to these reasons, please let me know.
I cannot wait to become a loser 
with the rest of the OH family!!
