After viewing many youtube videos and hearing several people talk about the help they received from this site, I decided to sign up and get started.  I have been considering Gastric Bypass for MANY years.  I have supported many friends and family members through it but never thought I would be able to afford the surgery financially or be able to take the time off work to recover.  But those were just excuses.  So.... after contemplating for again another year, I had my Family Doc refer me for Weight Loss Surgery.  I went to Dr. Patching's "seminar".  There was about 5 of us.  I sooooo fit the profile.  This was in November.  Since I have Blue Shield of CA.  I needed to meet the six month weight prerequisite.  So each month I weigh in, the Dr. gives me a weight loss goal and we wait.  I have done all of the pre-op tests and studies.  So time is the only thing holding me up.  (Hopefully!)  We will put in for the referral at the end of April.  Surgery is scheduled for June 27.  I truly wish it was tomorrow.  I see others having their surgery and losing weight and am sooooo jealous!  I want to be you!  I have lost 23 pounds since the first of the year.  I am so ready for surgery.

I am excited to give/receive support through this site!  I am searching for knowledge and guidance and as I go through the process I hope to be an example for others!
