Good morning everyone!

I spent all last night telling my eight grade honors student that she is NOT a failure in life because she made an 89 on her honors Algebra Exam.  She was quiet pitiful telling me she will never get into the college she needs to become a Civil Engineer.  She finally cried herself to sleep.

QOTD- We really haven't went anywhere amazing. My most favorite trip was to Rock Springs Wyoming. We went for National High School Rodeo Finals. It was amazing seeing all of the wild horses and seeing the snow capped mountains as we drove out there.

B- 2 pieces of bacon. I woke up needing bacon lol

L- Chicken

D- Steak

Cutting out carbs.

I hope everyone has an fantabulous day.

Got to love those over achievers! Poor kid.  Hope she feels better about it now that she sees how much you support her.

It is so hard with her. She has always been a perfectionist on everything. Our house rule is do your best. I don't care what the grade number is as long as they try their best.

Good Morning!

Thanks for starting the thread, Deanna!

That's so awesome that your son will get that experience! While we only went to Washington DC for a week in High School, it was a ton of fun to be away with classmates. And they trusted us to ride the subway alone, we thought we were the business!

QOTD: the most exotic place I have been is probably Belize. We went on a 2 hour bus ride to go cave tubing and rode ATVs through the jungle. A close second would have to be Costa Mya where we toured the Mayan Ruins. Unfortunately, we really only get a glimpse of these wonderful places because we're traveling by cruise ship.

Cave tubing and ATVs through the jungle sounds awesome. I like to snorkel and scuba dive, so Belize is on my list...and the Cayman Islands.

Good morning, although so far it hasn't been great... I started my morning at the pool where I had to cut my workout short (half way) because of severe shark week cramps.  Seriously, I didn't think that could stop you in your tracks but boy did it.  Then off to a chiro/ART appointment where I had medieval torture devices used on me (hurt so good). But afterwards I got in the car and the menstrual cramps came back full force accompanied by a hot flash.  I was seriously doubled over in my car, crying, with the A/C blasting.  WTF?  My cramps have been so bad since surgery.  I am having an IUD placed tomorrow and I'm praying this will alleviate some of my problems.  Does anyone here have one?  Any thoughts?  Also, sorry for the TMI.

QOTD: "Exotic"?  I've been to St. Petersburg and Novgorod Russia during law school.  Very cool.  Otherwise, we went to Jamaica two winters ago.

Time since surgery: 22+ months

B: SF Venti Mocha and toast with jam, 1 scrambled egg

S: Coffee with cream and Kind Bar

L: Pizza (shark week)

S: Iced coffee with cream

D: Pork chops with asparagus

E: 1/2 a swim workout and a 40 min trainer ride

W/V: Started but I need to get hydrated for this weekend's race.  MUST DRINK MORE WATER!

Shark week for me started Tuesday and it has been a rough one for sure.  I used to have terrible periods when I was younger, but the older I've gotten the easier they have been.  My terrible shark week is just usually feeling hormonal, but not with serious double you over cramps.

I hope you feel better soon!

I have an IUD and I LOVE it! This is my second one, and after the initial 6'ish weeks, I have had no problems. My cycle is pretty much non-existent now, no cramps and like 2-3 days of minimal spotting. Previously I had a really long, heavy, and painful cycle - it has been a life changer!
