Sorry you're having such a tough time of it, Melissa. Perhaps the less structured weekend time & activities contribute to the changes in your eating habits?

I don't know if the following info will be helpful for you, but it is an outline of how I manage my less-than-stellar eating moments without excessive guilt afterwards.

I know that - for myself - weekends are far different than weekdays: there are likely to be some higher-calorie restaurant meals, and if I'm going to binge, it will most likely happen during the weekend. I try to address the issues in two ways: 1****ep calories on weekdays lower so the overall week's calorie count averages out okay, and 2) since I acknowledge that an occasional binge is going to happen (not every weekend, and I do resist as long as possible****ep a couple of things on hand - like frozen green beans and plain unflavored puffed wheat - that allow me to assuage that hand-to-mouth urge without doing too much calorie damage or making myself sick. Neither of those are trigger foods for me, so it is safe to keep them on hand.

Don't feel like a failure or out-of-control - this is just something you will learn to manage over time. My thoughts are with you.

It's so funny that you said you almost didn't come today. Last night at dinner we were talking about how great it is that there is a place here where people can come and be honest about struggles without judgement. People may get advice they don't like or want to follow sometimes, but it's rarely from a judgy place.

I think it's really important that we are honest with each other (and ourselves) about the reality of breaking a real addiction/lifestyle. It's real, and it's not easy!

I hope you get the support you need here to start to shift into the healthy-forever lifestyle. We've all got your back. Don't go away!

Hey yall

not much going on here really- sat I ran errands (yes i went to the thrift store, I found two new german cooking pans that were mini size. One was a saucepan and the other a frying griddle like one the size of a sandwich) and I found a cute little shirt, ann taylor jean pants, white house black market pants, chico capri pants, and I think one other pair of pants for $13. The pans for $6 for both. I did also clean out my closet so there WAS space. Went grocery shopping on sat also. making some cool food this week- new recipes.

yesterday I did some meal prep, laundry, listened to my book on audible and other chores. I went a little stir crazy during the day. I wasn't relaxing but wandering around doing stuff. I did find DH's free frosty tag from Wendy's so now i can bring him free ones when I'm out.

QOTD: my first job was at ekerd drugs. I was 15 and worked the front as a cashier. This was before upc scanners so I had to hand key the dept and cost. there were some girls that would come in and 'switch' the tags on makeup so it would be cheaper and I would call them on it. I would come home with bags of clearance makeup and goodies all the time. sometimes they would let me work in the photo lab or pharmacy. there were nudey pic takers that would drop off pics for 1 hour processing. As long as they were just naked pic without porn we were ok to process them. I worked there about a year or two, then I went to work at a used clothing/jean place down the road. I learned a lot about selling and it helped a lot with my shyness.I was very bad at folding jeans though...

Here is what I ate yesterday

tonight we are having baby lasagna in wanton wrappers! Can't wait

Good morning,

Sorry your son's team lost, but sounds like he had a great game for himself.  Proud mommy.

Had a nice visit with hubbys brother and his family yesterday, we don't see this particular brother often so it was a nice visit with them and my nieces and great nieces.

Saturdays Dr. visit was disappointing.  It seems the boot that the original podiatrist had me wear does not immoblize my foot the way it should and it is either not healing properly or there is more degeneration in a spot not quite where I thought it was.  Anyway, I need to have and MRI done.  If there is indeed a fracture I will need to wear a knee high boot for 4-6 weeks.  If it is just the degeneration from arthritis I will need to wear an orthotic and sneakers for the same time period.  Keep your fingers and toes crossed, swing a few chickens and say a prayer for me.  I want to take some vacation time, but not while I'm in a boot. Last summer was no picnic for me between the two surgeries, breaking my toes an hurting my back.  I need the beach, a musuem or two, something fun to do with my dd.  I don't feel like sitting around at home again and it's a pain to do much with the boot, especially the beach.

Time since surgery: 15 months

B: Protein Coffee, hb egg

L:  Ham, cheese, 1 slice whole wheat bread

D:  Stir fry steak, peppers, onions & zucchini

S:  1/2 Sargento balanced break tray, Dannon L&F Greek, Vanilla Cupcake
