Sorry you're feeling crappy. Nausea is the worst and you can only manage to eat what you can. I'll pray for you!

Benadryl with my pain pills plus ginger tea did more for me than any antinausea pills.

Egg drop soup was my to go liquid protein drink when I can't eat a lot. And in situation like that - drinking protein shakes is a must..as long as they stay in - do it.  Cheese - if you tolerate dairy is an easy fat and protein fix..

Today I am having lunch with my maintenance support group. We all had surgery around the same time and get together around once a month. We used to all go a support group at a local hospital but got tired of all the repeated newbie questions so we formed our own group. It's a great group of women and I love seeing them. They help me stay somewhat sane.

QOTD: Clue. My kids love it, too.

I'm not sure of my eating plan, either. Today I will just "wing it".

Hello all!

I have been reading this thread for weeks and have decided to join in and introduce myself. I am almost 3 months post-op from VSG. Lately I have been trying to challenge myself to eat more dense protein and not rely on shakes as much. I'm not having any hunger so I think  I have just gotten lazy. It's easier to grab a Premier shake instead of packing a lunch when for work days.

Today's weight is 197 (down from high of 230)

menu:

B- coffee with almond milk, Dannon Oikos Crunch

S-beef jerky

L-leftover sloppy joe filling or leftover meatballs

D- meatloaf or grilled New York strips (whatever kids and hubby choose) steamed broccoli

S- sugar free Popsicle

Plans for the day include laundry, vacuuming and working in the garden. Maybe I will get motivated and take the kids to the library.

Qotd- I love Trivial Pursuit and Monopoly. I also love watching Jeopardy and competing with my hubby to see who can call out the most answers. But I get a little obnoxious and overly competitive :)

Hope to see you here every day! Good job getting back to dense protein. It is definitely the not-so-secret, secret of sustainable weight loss!

Haha I am super competitive too and no one ever wants to play with me. Sad, right!? We are so misunderstood...
