Welcome to Photo Friday!  Let's see your bright shining faces!  As usual, I have no new pictures of myself, so you'll just have to pretend.  LOL

Who's got great plans this weekend?  I have to work tomorrow and then Sunday is my wedding anniversary!  This is number 12, so I think I deserve some kind of medal.

QOTD!  So, as promised, it's Get to Know You Day!  Tell us about yourself.    Hey, I'm Kristen and I live in Syracuse, NY.  I'm married to Matt and we have an awesome 11 year old son named Michael and a fat beagle named Bagel.  We live in a shoebox, but have 10 acres of land which we use to keep bees and hunt.  Well, I don't hunt, but Matt does.  I hope he gets a deer again this year because he managed to lose like 30 lbs. of venison this spring by unplugging the chest freezer to use some random power tool and then not plugging it back in.  I'm not bitter.  LOL  Anyhoo, I am addicted to magazines, love to watch the Food Network and am a shameless checkout line impulse shopper.  Seriously, it's rare that I don't buy something when I'm waiting in line.  Last night at Tops it was gum.  LOL

Time since surgery:  2+ years

B:  Light & Fit Crunch caramel fudge pretzel

S:  Sargento Balanced Breaks

L:  deli turkey/string cheese rollups and like a 2 TBs of chicken salad leftover from yesterday on 2 saltines

D:  I'm hoping for shrimp and sirloin, but that would mean I have to go to Wegmans and I'm not sure I want to do that.  LOL

TOTALS:  Cals:  934  Protein:  115 (hell yeah!)  Carbs:  50  Fat:  34

I think I will go to Weggers...I like this menu!  Have a great Friday and a great weekend!!

ETA a photo:  This picture is from a couple of years ago, but here's my mighty hunter standing in front of a 25 foot tower he BUILT in the woods behind our house.  His fantasy plan is to build a shack on top and extend the platform on the left side so he can zipline from our back deck to the tower.  I'm not even remotely kidding.  LMAO  He's mental, but so am I so that's OK.

Good morning!

Amusing anecdote--I was reminded yesterday of the pre-op hoops I was jumping through 4 years ago. I distinctly remember the tiny (could not have possibly been an ounce overweight her entire life) nurse telling me that she enjoyed her gummy vitamins as a "snack" at the end of the night. I remember laughing out loud at the absurdity of a vitamin as a snack...clearly, that is why she was skinny and I was not! Four years later, I found myself savoring my fiber gummies last night ;)

I have an appointment with a new GI doc today. I had a three year follow up with my surgeon a little over a week ago. Because of some of the gastric distress I have been having and the symptoms I described, he referred me to a GI specialist. He was very specific who I saw and had his secretary arrange it. He told me that he would have to "sell a kid" to get me in to see her. Low and behold, a week later, and I have an appointment. Hmmm... Not exactly sure what I am in for today!

Here are today's stats:

Time since surgery--3+ years

B: 2 breakfast sausage patties
S: 3 oz. pork chop
L: 3 oz. carnitas
S: pepperoni chips
D: protein shake

Calories: 812

Protein: 80

Carbs: 9

QOTD: Hi, I'm Kelly and I live in southern NJ with my husband and three kids, ages 9, 7 and 2. I work in the family business that my mother created over 23 years ago, which allows me a flexible schedule to be with my kids, but to also occasionally use my brain for something other than mommy tasks. I have wanderlust and have lived in England and Japan, and have visited more than a dozen other countries. I married a German, that makes our children dual nationals :)

Love that you have wanderlust and have lived other plaecs. I have a nephew who lives in Japan and if you see my post my son and family are moving to India. I am amazed between my son and daughter-in-law, how many countries they have been to already in their lives. My DIL taught English in Taiwan for a year, the year before she met my son.

Me? Born and bred NYer.... lived on Long Island...my whole life, and have the accent to prove it. :) Have also worked in Mental Health since I'm 18. Worked Full Time throughout college. Have a Bachelor's in Psychology and History, and Masters in Healthcare Administration. I currently am the President of a local non-Profit. We have 2 Mental health day programs, a clinic, case management, housing, run a Homeless shelter for veterans, as well as help them get permanent housing... and are the Mental health Association for our County. Here's the link if you want to see what I do... http://www.mentalhealthandwellness.org/ You can see a 'before' headshot as well.

Raised my son as a single Mom, have been divorced for many years. HomeSchooled my son from grades 6 through High School graduation. I considered it a gift to be able to do that. He is married with 2 children. They are all the best including my daughter-in-law, who I love dearly. He is a Pastor and they are moving to India in January.... so changes are coming. I am very proud of him for many reasons, but one of the things I am really proud of this year, is he has worked for 3 years to open a Law Clinic to help Immigrants become legal. He obviously was working with other people and will leave it in good hands, but it was no small project. It is a government program where he basically got trained and certified to  practice Immigration law even though he is not a lawyer, and he worked with whomeever from Washington DC and Homeland security to get this open.

SO unless you have been living under a rock around here, you know I have had lots of PS this year. Here's a pic with me with the Doc last weekend at OAC

BTW yesterday was a total disaster...just saying it and being honest. Meal/snacks 3-6 were Black Bean Brownies - yeah I made them WLS friendly..blah, blah, blah...but they weren't that good and ate 1/2 a pan by the end of the night...some with cream cheese to get over the fact that they weren't that good... Down  a pound again to 164 again. Go figure. I did figure out the calories and I was within my range,...but still. #myfatgirlmentality I was anxious about something and ate....

1: coffee latte with fairlfe milk and Miralax

2: eggs, bacon, cheese

3: Costco samples...LOL

$:turkey with brie

5: Steak

6: yogurt

EX: Doc said I could do upper body..because I have been feeling like a slug. So there are 2 days on 21-day-fix that are upper body. So got back to my roll out of bed and do it! yay! makes me happy...
