Hey yall- missed yesterday because work actually let us OFF! I ran errands all day and ate protein pancakes, grilled nuggets, a quest bar, beef jerky, many coffee's coffee khombucha, regular konbucha, water, tuna packet, 2 egg whites and some carrots. Stayed under my cal limits and got in a TON of steps walking.

Yes, I did buy some clothes also but I really wanted them and they were $1 each except for this gorgeous hand knit chico sweater in shades of gray. And it was $3 so didn't beat myself up about it. My husband was like WTH when I came home with 2 bags of clothes though- whoopse

Went to monthly support group last night. I'm realizing how grateful I am for you guys. I have learned so much and feel very successful due to the info on this site. I feel like yall have put me (with knowledge and encouragement) in the BEST possible position to be all that I can be (in the arrrrrrmmmyyy) just kidding. but for real, yall are amazing!

the nutritionist mentioned last night that studies are showing that we may be able to start taking calcium carbonate also instead of just citrate. also, she mention there is considerable research on the internal connection between gut and brain so there may be some very promising advancements in treating obesity disease in the future. pretty cool.

today's menu- not doing all meat but am looking to watch the carbs this week. Would like to make my 'end of the month weight goal' for JAN.

We are suppose to get that storm starting tonight, but in the form of snow not that freezing rain crap!

I am sorry about your Dad Daisy, I really hate seeing anyone have to struggle being overweight.  My husband was never overweight until his back surgery, now that he can't do anything he has put on about 30 or 40 pounds that he really doesn't need.  He and my daughter went on Weigh****chers together and are doing really well. Boy WW has really changed from what they used to be, they are now very protein foward!

I sure hope the freezing rain misses you and you just get snow, the ice was brutal today!

thanks for your kind words tt, I might suggest WW to my Dad, but I fear he is a "man's man" if you know what I mean and would not be caught dead in a WW meeting, he's weird like that, but I am definitely suggest it.

Good looking menu, a lot of people have jerky or meat sticks on their menus and I got a craving to today for jerky LOL  time to go shopping again ha ha

keep up the great work!

Morning DD2! Be careful on that ice. If you fall, you're all skin and bones now, and you'll snap like a twig.

My weekend was pretty lazy, and the extra day for MLK Day threw me off. JB is headed out of town for a conference, so altogether, I'm not even sure what day it is.

I feel so bad for your Dad and Mom. She must be crazy with worry. We both know how hard we have to work to keep our weight in check. We both also know what a losing battle that was without WLS. I'll swing some chickens and hope he can improve.

Here is my food log from yesterday. Today will likely be pretty identical, but I'll post the exact details tomorrow.

Hi Grim! I am so glad you posted your menu! I have been struggling mightily. I am usually under 1200 calories with my "Planned" menu, but it seems as not enough and I end up "grazing". I am going to get back to basics and ensure I am Protein forward. Thanks for always being an inspiration. Mike

*** edited to add "grazing"

It's a shame that you don't like meat very much.

People ask if I don't miss having variety. Every piece of meat is different. Each one unique. Then you have different cuts. Ribeye, New York strip, sirloin tips, t-bone, petite sirloin -- there's lots of variety! And don't get me started on how very different every part of a pig is!

you crack me up Grim!  I assure you there is lots of extra skin to fall on and cushion my fall should I slip ha ha! but I was good today, no slipping!

Extra days off always messes me up too and I have to look at my phone to figure out what day it is. I hope you got JB off to the airport okay.  The big question is will you survive the rest of the week without her?  Or are you planning on building another house to keep yourself busy or something LOL

Thanks for your kind words, my parents emotional state right now is not the best.  The stress & worry is off the charts.  I see a family meeting in the near future to help figure some next steps out!

Dude that is LEGIT some crazy meat!  I get such a kick out of the fact that is all you eat. Its wicked awesome

Keep up the great work, the other AMAW participants should be scared... ha ha
